Last night while selecting a beverage
I boiled some water but then saw a beer in the coolerator. "Beer or tea?" I thought. "I can have tea in the morning." I concluded.

One of those nights
You know those hard drinkin' nights when all you can remember is telling stories of Senegal and asking someone to punch you in the stomach? I think I had one of those.
I need to be better about bringing my compostables home, they were cleared again when I got in this morning. I don't mind so much about lost organic matter as much as I don't want someone to feel they need to clean up after me. Said someone must think I'm a slob that can't be bothered to use a rubbish bin 3 feet from my chair.

Maybe
Ok so maybe I am sick. My cousin emailed me an article. Lotsa funny words eh?
Not Sick
I'm not sick. Just a little scratchy. Not enough sleep, polyurathane fumes, talking about Math, worrying about getting sick are chipping away at my throat but I have it under control. Tea and water and super spinach will be my companions. I cancelled with Soren in order to un-blow-off yoga tonight, that will also give me an immunoboost!

Wellness Winter Soup (includes a potato trick)
There is no particular wellness ingredient in the soup except for vegetables, when in doubt, assume you need more vegetables. The cloves are soothing on a sore throat.
Brown some garlic and onion in some oil and then add vegetable broth. Bring to a boil and add some sliced carrots. Stir in some salt, black pepper, and cracked cloves. We're going to add a sliced potato. The trick here is to add slices of potato too large to comfortably fit on a spoon and use them as timers. As they cook and as you stir, occasionally poke the middle of a slice (with a wooden spoon, nothing sharp) and if they break apart, poke the rest of them. They're almost done (and they are also now bite size.) To make sure the pieces take some skin with them, we'll precut the skin before we slice the potato. With a knife, slit the skin just barely all the way around one axis, rotate 90° and make another slit. Slice the potato into cross sections against the slits.
Add the potato slices and stir and poke as described above. When the potatoes break apart when poked, reduce to a simmer, add some rosemary, chopped spinach, any kind of green beans and anything else you have fresh or frozen. Let cook for a few more minutes and serve with some sharp cheese and hearty bread. Share with someone nice.

Someone Took My Compostables
Someone cleaned my office and kindly took away my (probably numerous) hot liquid cups. Said kind person also removed the bowl of tea bags and fruit peels that I collected over the past two days. While I genuinely appreciate this gesture, it really shows some care, I had plans for that organic mater.
